Augmented Reality at the Heineken Music Hall. Exclusive Video Report

On the 24th of March 2011, TAB Worldmedia launched an exclusive augmented media project for the 10th year anniversary of the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam.

Several weeks before the event V.I.P. guests received a personal augmented invitation from the Managing Director. At the event the guest were given an augmented welcome at the entrance. 15 hosts from Heineken Music Hall were dedicated to introduce the guests to an augmented photo exhibition. Almost 100 exclusive concert photos (2x3m) are part of a mobile popquiz and about 10 concert photos are given an extra augmented treat with Junaio augmented reality.

We found proof that Nintendo 3DS is going to make Augmented Reality huge!

Just a couple of days before the launch of the Nintendo 3DS. In an earlier article that we posted in September of last year we explained how the Nintendo 3DS is one of the handsets that will bring augmented reality to the mass. Now that we see more and more expamples of AR usage with the device on the internet, our statement is underlined bigtime!

Now we found this hillarious video of a couple of guys who are already playing around with AR on the device and they proof that the Nintendo 3DS has huge potential for AR. Literally that is! 😉

From Augmented Reality to Augmented Media.

TAB Worldmedia‘s Augmented Media Experience Centre has opened its doors three weeks ago and already more then 30 companies visited the center. The Augmented Media Experience is a unique location in Citymall Almere that is only open until the end of March, where companies and consumers are welcome to experience and learn about the most impactful media of today using augmented reality.
